At CIC, we believe that nothing speaks louder than the voice of those who’ve already walked the path with us. We’ve been lucky enough to meet some incredible people through our work - adopters, volunteers, vets, and everyday heroes who’ve opened their hearts to our cats. This space is for their voices. These stories mean the world to us, and we hope they give you a glimpse into the love, trust, and second chances that define everything we do at CIC.
Cheryl & Pen

We adopted our sweet girl Penelope from this incredible rescue and we couldn’t be more grateful.
Gina and LouLou and the foster carers are simply amazing. They are clearly dedicated to the welfare of every cat they come across - they seem to stop at nothing to help them all. Pen was being expertly cared for by LouLou who was so kind to us when we went to visit. The adoption process was smooth and straightforward, and we felt supported throughout.
Pen started life as a stray and had clearly lost her trust in humans, but thanks to the love and care she received from the rescue, and with time and patience in her new home environment, we’ve seen her blossom. She’s come such a long way already - gaining confidence every day - and it’s been an absolute joy to watch her grow into herself. We can’t wait to see what’s in store as her trust in us continues to develop.
We can’t thank the team enough for the work they do and for bringing Pen into our lives. They truly go above and beyond.

Finn & Snowbelle

My name is Fionnuala and I'm Snowbelle's new Mum. Snowbelle came into the care of CIC by what I would like to think is alignment of the stars - it came down to members of the CIC team being in the right place at the right time for her.
She'd been found by a kind member of the public horribly neglected and with serious injuries. The team immediately stepped up and took her on where many would have refused, knowing she'd need a huge amount of care and rehabilitation. Had the ladies not been in the right place at the right time, Snowbelle could have been euthanised. But she was brought into the care of CIC who healed her wounds both physical and mental.
Due to the severe neglect she'd suffered she underwent a leg amputation. She had intensive dental work and was also spayed. I jumped at the chance to offer this beautiful girl a home and a second chance. LouLou spoke to me at length to make sure I had experience with the Persian breed and would be able to meet Snowbelle's needs, as well as checking that my home and family were suitable for Snowbelle to join us.
Snowbelle is a member of my family now and I know we have the support and advice of CIC on hand whenever I have any questions. Being a special kitty, the ladies love to keep up with what she gets up to in her new home. This is so genuine, way more than just waving her off with a 'keep in touch'.
I'd recommend CIC to anyone thinking of adopting a feline family member as everything is done by the book and ethically and morally this rescue is absolutely on point, so you know you're dealing with a reputable organisation. Thank you so much to CIC for a wonderful adoption process.

Karen - Our wonderful Cat/Kitten Foster

I was introduced to CIC through the Foster Mum of my Kittens/Cats and I'm glad that I have the privilege of being part of their community.
They are not only just there for the cats in the community but are there for every member of this group.
From advise on what is the best food for their kitten/cat to help with re-homing and perfectly matching the many abandoned felines in their care to their perfect furever homes.
What is also fantastic is that we receive Kitty updates from their families on how they're setting in and bonding with their new furry brothers/sisters.
Cats in Crisis is not only just a group, we've become a family.

Robyn & Joe

I was stuck in a hard place due to an overbreeding cat family and turned out to be a neglectful situation of breeding males and females. As we were feeding and trying our best to maintain a cruel situation, I came across Cats in Crisis via TikTok and soon got to know the ladies running it.
I can’t say enough about the support I received with two very pregnant females and a worm riddled female. We happily helped where we could but the ladies worked tirelessly to help out the little ones and find wonderful homes for them. We even adopted the youngest breeding female whom is in love with the Mr of the household.
It does take an army but we couldn’t have done it without them. So pleased with the help and comfort we and the little ladies/babies received. Highly recommend

Molly & Socks

I adopted my sweet kitten, Socks, from Cats in Crisis and I couldn’t be more grateful for the experience. From the very beginning, it was clear that this rescue is run with an incredible amount of heart and dedication.
Both Lou and Gina the founders go above and beyond to make sure every cat is given the best possible start. Socks was healthy, playful, and full of personality when I met her - clearly well cared for in her foster home. You can tell these animals are loved like family before they even find their forever homes. The adoption process was smooth and it’s clear Cats in Crisis truly cares about finding the right home for each cat.
Socks has already brought so much joy into my life, and I owe that to Cats in Crisis and their amazing work. If you're considering adopting or supporting a local rescue, I can’t recommend them highly enough. They are truly making a difference, one cat at a time.

Paz, Luna & Amelia

I adopted Luna and Amelie from Cat in Crisis, and I couldn’t be more thankful. This amazing team pours so much love and care into everything they do. They made sure my girls were vaccinated, neutered, healthy, and ready to start their new life with me.
You can tell how deeply they care - not just about the cats, but about finding the right homes for them. They think of every detail and go above and beyond to make the adoption process smooth and full of heart.
I’m so grateful for the work they do, and I truly hope they keep growing and receiving the support they deserve. Thanks to them, Luna and Amelie are now safe and loved and I am too ❤️
